What is FICA and why do I need to do it?

How to FICA your Playabets account

After completing Playabets registration (here's how to get signed up), you're ready to FICA your Playabets account. There are two ways you can submit your Playabets FICA documents, which are as follows:

1️⃣ How to FICA your Playabets account via email

Take clear photographs of your ID document and proof of address with your cellphone or scan the documents using a computer. Attach these documents to an email addressed to support@playabets.co.za. Don't forget to include your full name and Playabets username so your account can be identified. 

Wait for email confirmation that your Playabets FICA documents have been received. If all your documents are in order, it should take no longer than 48 hours for your Playabets account to be activated for withdrawals.

2️⃣ How to FICA your Playabets account via Live Chat

Your other option is login to your Playabets account (here's how) and use the Live Chat facility to submit your Playabets FICA documents. 

Once your identity has been successfully verified you can make withdrawals from your Playabets account.

3️⃣ How to FICA your Playabets account via WhatsApp

The third option is to submit your Playabets FICA documents via WhatsApp message to 078 800 1018. Simply compose a message explaining you wish to FICA your Playabets account. Use the paperclip icon to locate the documents on your phone or computer and click "Send" to confirm.

Playabets FICA Guidelines

➡️ Photographs or copies of documents must be clear and legible.

➡️ Where applicable, copies of both sides of all documents must be provided.

➡️ All four corners of each document must be visible in all copies or photographs.

➡️ You can use electronic documents to prove your address as long as the company’s name and registration number are shown.

➡️ Retail accounts (e.g. Foschini or Edgars) and payslips cannot be used to prove your address.

➡️ Proof of address document must show your residential address and not a PO Box or Private Bag number.

What if I don't have a document to prove my address?

If you are unable to provide proof of address, you can get an affidavit to verify that you live at a certain address. This is a certified letter from someone living at the same address as you or from someone like a landlord, employer or spouse who can vouch that you live there. The letter must be stamped and certified by the police or a Commissioner of Oaths.
