BSBZA, thanks for joining us. How did you initially get interested in casino games and streaming?

I've been working in the industry for over 10 years, starting in sports betting before eventually moving over to slots. It started with me covering the new slots that were legalized in SA, and I decided to pivot to slots and casino games after the interest those videos generated. I personally don't watch too many streamers, so I have my own style and try keep it relevant to the South African player.

South Africa is a country for gambling and streaming. How would you describe the state of online gaming, specifically slots and casino games, in South Africa?

Compared to just a few years ago it's amazing. We went from having very few legal slots games, to a huge variety from some of the best providers in the World. It's in a great place at the moment, and local sites have done a great job adding new games and titles.

What made you decide to start sharing your gambling experiences on YouTube? What do you think has contributed to your channel's rapid growth?

The potential I saw from the few slots videos that I did (more guides really) definitely shaped the way to creating more slots and casino content. I cover a bit of everything, so it appeals to a wide audience. I also play with realistic stakes, which appeals to the average player (and doesn't hurt my wallet!).

With over 45,000 subscribers, you've clearly hit a nerve with your audience. What kind of feedback do you get from your viewers and how does it affect the content you produce?

The audience is why I create videos. The feedback has been amazing, and definitely helped me find ideas for new videos and concepts. There are however certain games like Aviator which are a headache to play as you need full concentration, so I try to stick to mostly slots games these days.

Let's discuss your most memorable stream. Can you tell us the story behind it, and why it stands out for you?

I think 2 to 3 streams really stand out. The first is the one where I won a prize in the Hollywoodbets Spina Zonke Jackpot race, after trying for almost 15 separate streams, it was only R1000 or there abouts, but the sense of achievement was great.

The second that stands out was a R10,000+ win that I picked up on live stream, unfortunately Youtube decided to remove that video! The last is a stream collaboration I did with another streamer, Levit8, the stream was fun and the interaction with the audience was incredible.

Online gambling can be a source of addiction for many. How do you approach this issue on your channel and what advice do you have for responsible gambling?

I always advise players to take any profits they make and cash out, I also mention that I don't always win, and that it's pretty much done to pure luck.

As the biggest slots and casino channel in South Africa, how do you see your role in shaping the community and industry?

I like to help out new streamers and content creators, I would love to help grow the community, so if there is anyone who wants to get started feel free to reach out to me for advice!

What are your thoughts on the representation of South African casino gamblers in the global streaming community?

There really aren't too many to be honest, it's an area that I'd love to see grow, especially on the streaming end, I suppose once brands get involved this might happen.

Can you share your favourite slot or casino game and why it resonates with you? Has this influenced what you feature on your channel?

I love Hot Hot Fruit, as do many South African's. It's such an easy to understand game, and most players have tried it at least once, there's nothing like the thrill of getting a feature on Hot Hot Fruit, so do I play it very often. Outside of that I love lightning roulette, although I don't feature it too much on the channel.

What would you say is your biggest challenge as a casino streamer in South Africa?

The biggest challenge is getting local brands involved, some have been fantastic with providing merch or a few giveaways, but so far it doesn't seem like any of them are interested in sponsorships or deals. I'm sure all SA casino streamers and content creators are currently playing with their own hard earned money, and doing giveaways out of their own pockets.

What can you tell us about your future plans for the channel? Are there any exciting developments that your subscribers should look forward to?

There are a few more seasons of the popular Subscribers Keep the Winnings series planned, where I randomly pick a subscriber and play a game of their choice, and they get to keep all the winnings / the balance. Outside of that I'm always looking forward to new game releases, so hopefully we'll get some good ones soon.

What advice do you have for others in South Africa who might want to start their own streaming channels, specifically for casino games?

It's a tough grind, and you need to find a balance where you aren't throwing away thousands of your own money to make content. Just be yourself, learn how to edit and so on, entertain your viewers and you'll be successful.

Lastly, if you were to share one unforgettable moment from your streaming journey that encapsulates the essence of what you do, what would it be?

The stream where I won the Hollywoodbets Spina Zonke Jackpot race on live stream, it was only a R1500 win but I'd be at it for months and it was an amazing feeling to finally win in a race!
