How does T-Basket work?

The rules for T-Basket are very simple. A basketball court is split down the middle with four ball racks containing fifteen basketballs each and a hoop on either side. The two players have 60 seconds to throw as many balls through the hoop on their own side as possible. Whichever player scores the most points before the buzzer goes wins the match. 

Players can take a ball only from the illuminated rack, which is randomly selected by a computer forcing the players to move around and shoot from different areas of the court. The sequence of each shot is the same for both players to make it fair. Each successful attempt is worth either 1, 2 or 3 points depending on how far away the player is standing from the hoop.

What is a T-Basket tournament?

New T-Basket tournaments start hourly from 10 am South African time every day. How these T-Basket tournaments work is that eight T-Basket players are split into two groups of four.

Each player must face off against every opponent in their group once and then the top two players from each group progress through to the semi-finals. First place in Group A will play second place in Group B, and so on until the winners of these games face off in the T-Basket final!

If two or more players have the same number of wins in the group stage, they will be sorted according to these criteria to determine their position:

Like with any sports betting, the odds for various T-Basket players are determined by their skills, current form, and of course their opponent. At the end of the 60-second match, the athlete with the most points is declared the winner and all bets are paid out.
